But wait, aren’t you guys just another travel vlog couple?
Yes and definitely not.
We’re very open and candid about our adventures and travel for more than just the selfie. We learn a lot of lessons about different ways to live all around the world and can’t wait to share them with you.
So far in that process, we have fallen down a mountain in Alaska, eaten too much gelato in Tuscany, learned philosophy in Cambridge, embarrassed ourselves learning French, talked politics with a party leader in Germany, road-tripped across the US, and more.
So if you’re someone who wants to explore the planet, learn life lessons, and get off the typical tourist path, then why don’t you hang around and get to know us a bit? Because if that’s you, then we’re probably going to be friends pretty quick.
How did we get here?
It all started in December 2015 when Chris called me up and said, “Hey, Ellen! Crazy idea… what if we went to Europe?” and before Chris could even finish explaining his reasons, I was all in.
Chris had just finished a contract position at a music studio in Los Angeles and I was planning on packing up from my job in Missouri to move to LA and join him. So we packed our backpacks and took our first steps in Europe.
We backpacked for 5 weeks visiting friends and experiencing art and history in places we had only dreamed about going to.
When March came, we were back in LA with the plan of settling down, moving into our apartments and going back to normal life.
But, we had gotten the travel bug and couldn’t get rid of it.
So after a few detours in LA, and many road trips exploring the West coast, we’ve both found our way to work and travel full time. Ellen works in marketing, while Chris is a freelance music composer for film and TV.
Not only that, but we’ve also gotten engaged and married since that first European trip! So here we are – happy house sitters and explorers – married and enjoying all that life brings our way.
